Chechnya inaugurated Friday the mosque "Pride of the Muslims" in the city of Shali east of the capital Grozny, which is the largest mosque in Europe, with a capacity to accommodate 20,000 worshipers inside and about 100,000 outside.

The opening was attended by the Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Yusuf bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen, President of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov, and large delegations from the Islamic world, according to a statement of the Organization.
