It was at the end of May that the trial was held for the first time. A 35-year-old man then stood accused of trying to drive on parking guards when his car was towed away after it was discovered that it was parked in a place for the disabled.

According to the indictment, the man must then have attacked the guards by force by driving on two of them and over the foot on the third. All should have caused pain. One of them must have been so badly injured that she needed multiple surgeries.

Data came in afterwards

But after the main hearing, before the verdict was announced, new information emerged, which prosecutor Marie Skeppstedt Törnström believes means that a new main hearing must be held.

- I thus informed the court that I considered that there were obstacles to deciding the case and decided that the preliminary investigation should be supplemented, which was done by holding several hearings.

She does not want to comment on the new information.

- No, given the forthcoming hearing, don't comment further on the evidence, she says.

She believes that the information does not affect the prosecution otherwise.

- But it is important that it gets right and then I want to resume the negotiations, the prosecution remains unchanged.

The target will be raised again in early October. Whether the entire trial should be re-examined or whether the hearings from previous hearings should be used is up to the court to decide.
