It is reported by Interfax with reference to the press service of the department.

“Gamification takes place in the development of modern educational technologies, both in Russia and in the experience of foreign countries. However, we note that the school curriculum is based on state educational standards, balanced on the basis of recommendations on the permissible load for each age category, and the addition of such subjects can lead to overwork of students, ”the ministry said.

At the same time, the Ministry of Education emphasized that the country has the opportunity to receive “relevant skills” outside the school. The department, for example, supports specialized thematic classes in the field of IT and programming, lectures, hackathons and other similar events that take place in the regions on a regular basis.

Earlier, experts from the Internet Development Institute (IRI) sent a letter to the Ministry of Education in which they suggested introducing computer game lessons, in particular, Dota 2, Hearthstone, Dota Underlords, FIFA, World of Tanks, Minecraft and CodinGame.

RT announced about the initiative of Iran to organize school elective classes in e-sports.
