In many parts of the country, apples are both smaller and fewer than last year. Ingrid Persson, who runs a small museum, shows the trees outside the house.

- Some are so full of apples while others are completely empty, she says.

One of the reasons why this year's harvest seems to be less than last year is that in many places it was frost when the apple trees bloomed in the spring.

Don't be in a hurry

For Ingrid and other museum owners, the season has not really started, but preparations for it are ongoing.

But it is important not to be in a hurry if you want to have to.

- Many want to have Transparante blanche because it ripens early and the trees produce a lot of fruit. But it is too muddy to musta, it is better to wait for the varieties that come from mid-September onwards.

In the clip, Ingrid gives a more elaborate picture of when your apples are ready to be crushed.
