August 22, 2019 Andrea Zamperoni, Italian head chef of Cipriani Dolci, a well-known restaurant in the Grand Central New York station, was found dead.

The NBC reports it quoting a Cipriani press release.

Zamperoni, 33, who lives in Queens, was last seen by his apartment mates on Saturday night, restaurant manager Fernando Dallorso told the New York Post. His friends warned the police on Monday, when Zamperoni did not show up for work.

The manager of Cipriani Dolce told the Post that Zamperoni is a "treasure" and a chef of great talent. "He is a family man. He has a brother in London and a mother in Italy," added Dallorso. Zamperoni has been working in the elegant restaurant for just over a year, but has been active in the company for more than a decade, including a long period in one of his restaurants in London, where his brother is still employed.
