It says that the department should work out the issue of introducing in the future a shorter working week. In particular, it is necessary to evaluate the consequences of such a decision for the economy, including labor productivity and the social sphere.

The work should be carried out jointly with the Federation of Independent Trade Unions and the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, follows from the order.

Earlier, trade unions came up with a proposal to transfer the Russians to a four-day work week.

The first deputy chairman of the Committee on Economic Policy Sergei Kalashnikov in an interview with the NSN commented on the initiative.

The Kremlin said that so far the administration has not discussed this issue.
