“Commenting on the statement of the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky, I would like to note that Russia has not dropped out of the“ format of high diplomacy ”. And since the reunification of Crimea with Russia, our country began to play only a more prominent role in international affairs. On the other hand, it is not up to Vladimir Zelensky and Ukraine to decide the question of Russia's return to any kind of international structure. Nobody will ask Ukraine in these international structures, either, ”said Ganzhara.

The deputy also noted that today "many international structures, many countries are looking for more and more new" windows of opportunity "for establishing relations with Russia."

Earlier, Zelensky on his Facebook page commented on the possibility of Russia returning to the G8 format.

According to him, the "return" of Crimea and the settlement of the conflict in the Donbass will be "a real serious signal to the world that Russia is ready to once again take its place on the agenda of high diplomacy."
