Dwayne Johnson recovers his place as the highest paid actor in the world

Dwayne Johnson, aka "The Rock", has recovered its title of the highest paid actor in the world according to the ranking unveiled Wednesday by Forbes magazine, with 89.4 million dollars pocketed in twelve months.

The former American football player who became a wrestling star and then actor was already on the top step of the podium in 2016 before being stuck in second place in the last two years. In 2019, he is again the highest paid actor in the world with his fortune amassed between June 1, 2018 and June 1, 2019.

The 47-year-old actor, who specializes in action films, is headlined by the movie "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle" (2017) - a sequel of which is expected - and star of Fast and Furious, whose last "Fast and Furious: Hobbs and Shaw", was released this month.
