Emmanuel Macron will receive Friday representatives of civil society, including NGOs and companies to "collect their recommendations" on the eve of the opening of the G7 summit in Biarritz, said the Elysee.

From 10:00 to 18:00, the meetings will follow one another in the salons of the Elysée to discuss gender equality, the fight against inequalities or climate protection, which are the main themes put forward by the France for the G7.

"It will be a full day of dialogue and mobilization, fully in the presence of the President of the Republic", which "wishes to collect the recommendations" of these actors and "concretize the launch of a number of initiatives" said the Elysee.

The meeting is organized while NGOs gathered within the Climate Action Network (RAC), including Greenpeace, Oxfam France, Catholic Relief or WWF, announced Thursday that they would boycott the G7 in Biarritz, saying they are left "to the gap "from the top. Other movements participate in a counter-summit in Irun (Spain) and Hendaye and call to protest Saturday.

At the Elysee, the day will begin with a meeting with representatives of the G7 Advisory Board for Equality between Women and Men, chaired by Nobel Laureates Nadia Murad, Yazidi woman from Iraq, Denis Mukwege, gynecologist of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

There will be a lunch with NGO leaders on human rights, democracy and environmental protection. Should include Human Rights Watch (HRW), RSF, Amnesty International, Care, Southern Coordination, WWF and the European Climate Foundation, according to the Elysee.

In the afternoon, Emmanuel Macron and several ministers will discuss with a hundred leaders of groups and companies, such as Danone, Veolia, CMA-CGM, Renault or Hermes. Will be announced the creation of "coalitions of companies committed to inclusive growth and the reduction of their environmental impact in the field of textile industry, shipping and refrigeration technologies", according to the Elysee .
