Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-hwa said today (22) the Blue House's decision to end the Korea-Japan Military Information Protection Agreement (GSOMIA, Jisomia) is "a decision we made in a situation that was triggered by the issue of trust between Korea and Japan."
Mr. Kang met with reporters at the Incheon International Airport this afternoon after the meeting with the foreign ministers, saying, "It was a decision made after much consideration."
Kang said the decision was "different from the alliance," and said the ROK-US alliance will continue to strengthen and develop cooperation.
