President Trump has vowed to help Apple. Apple's chief executive, Tim Cook, says it's hard because of his rival Samsung.

[Trump / President: Tim Cook says the problem is Apple's good competitor, Samsung, who is not paying tariffs to China. I want to help you with that problem in a short time.]

Apple products produced in China during the US-China tariff war and entering the United States will be subject to 10% tax starting next month.

Tim Cook complained about this and President Trump said he would review support.

While support may be exempt from timely tariffs on Apple, it may not rule out penalties for Samsung.

[Trump / US President: Samsung is a Korean company. Apple is responsible for paying tariffs, but Samsung is unfair that Tim Cook is not.]

Sources say that most Samsung mobile phones exported to the United States are manufactured in Vietnam and India and are not subject to China's tariffs.

Some say that Trump is confused by the message yesterday, calling for Apple's withdrawal from China, so he needs to watch where Trump's whims are headed.
