Rome (AP) - In the government crisis in Italy, the consultations with President Sergio Mattarella continue today. From 10:00 to 17:00, the head of state meets the representatives of the major parties in the parliament and then ends the consultations. The alliance of right-wing populist Lega and five-star movement had failed after Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte resigned. Interior Minister and Lega chief Matteo Salvini insists on a new election in the fall. President Mattarella must now decide on a new government.
