According to RIA Novosti, he said that when he visited the Russian region, he saw a gap between the real situation on the peninsula and what is written in the Western media.

“There is a huge gap between the official information in which they talk about Crimea, and what we see with our own eyes and what we are convinced of ... They publish simply crazy messages, untruthful information,” said Nessenius.

According to him, the German delegation, returning home, will talk about his trip and impressions of the Crimea.

It is noted that Nessenius also thanked the authorities of the peninsula for the warm welcome.

Earlier, the head of the Crimean parliament’s committee on interethnic relations, Yuri Gempel, said that representatives of the public organization Druschba Global arrived in Crimea.

In March, the deputy chairman of the Society for Security and Politics, Frank Porsch, said that members of the delegation of social activists from Germany praised the changes in Crimea over the past five years.

Crimea became the Russian region after a referendum held in March 2014, in which most residents spoke out for reunification with Russia.
