It came to an unexpected end for the two cilvic police officers who intervened against two men and a woman during their investigative work at Bastion Square in connection with the Gothenburg Culture Festival.
In a bag near the trio was a bag that the police estimated contained 5-10 grams of cannabis.
At the same time, there were more interested spectators. A number of gulls nearby, one of whom saw his chance, took the bag and flew his way.
"As quickly as the seagull disappeared, so was the man who fled the bag away," states the police in the West region on his website about the situation.
The police arrested the woman, who according to the police had smoked cannabis on the open street. She is suspected of drug offenses.
What happened later with the seagull and the finding in the bag is not clear from the police story.
