A mother was arrested forcing her healthy son to have surgery.

On Monday, foreign media, including the New York Post, reported on 35-year-old Karin Bowen in Texas.

Bowen, who gave birth to his son 10 years ago, began taking unnecessary care when his son took him to the hospital on the 11th.

As a result, Christopher had 13 major surgeries, including more than 320 minor hospital treatments, until she was eight years old. Even in daily life, I had to ride a wheelchair because I couldn't overcome my mother's torch.

Bowen also raised money at fundraising sites for more than a year, saying that Christopher is dying from rare genetic diseases and cancer.

This strange behavior was eventually discovered by a Dallas hospital staff in 2017. An employee reported to the local Child Abuse Prevention Center, saying, "A mother continues to claim that her son has no cancer or other special symptoms."

Bowen, who was later arrested by the police, found that he had Munchenhausen syndrome. It's a kind of mental illness that tells people around you to lie about it.

Eventually, Bowen, convinced of all his actions, was found guilty in a Dallas County court. He is known to be sentenced to a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison for child abuse in his final trial in October.

The father of the custody, Ryan Crawford, said, "The lie is finally over. Happy."
