Participants from Rainbow Gathering have been in Jokkmokk since the last week in July and stay one week into September. When SVT visited the camp on August 14, an estimated 1,000 people were present.

The participants come from all over the world and have built a huge tent camp out in the woods.

"There was good arrangement"

The landowner, Jokkmokk's general, police reported Rainbow Gathering's tent camp last week, according to the report, the camp is not licensed.

- According to the landowner, the tent camp has become an inconvenience and we have to form our own opinion if this is so. During the weekend we had a police patrol on the spot who found that there is good order on the spot so there is nothing urgent for us to do right now, says Fredrik Söderlind.

Kallak is known for the fact that there is an iron ore deposit and for the company Beowolf Mining wants to start mining here.
