Karlsruhe (dpa) - The 2015 introduced rent brake is constitutionally not objectionable. It violates neither the property guarantee nor the freedom of contract or the general principle of equality, the Federal Constitutional Court ruled. The lawsuit filed by a Berlin landlady and two inspections by Berlin district court remained unsuccessful. The rental price brake is intended to prevent rents in popular residential areas from going through the ceiling.
