Frankfurt / Main (dpa) - After the strong start to the week, the German stock market ran out of air.

The Dax came in the first minutes of trading with a minimal minus of 0.01 percent to 11,713.99 points on the spot. Due to the lack of impulses from the environment, stock market prices hardly moved.

"A recovery is not yet a summer, the Dax is still trapped in a downtrend, despite the steep rise in recent days," commented the bank UBS. The probability of a further, several weeks break-in of the Dax is still high.

The MDax, which represents the shares of medium-sized German companies, advanced moderately by 0.13 percent to 25,209.14 points. The EuroStoxx 50, the leading index of the Eurozone, fell by 0.15 percent.
