Qatari Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani expressed his country's readiness to start implementing a number of investment initiatives agreed upon during the Qatari-Ethiopian summit in Doha last March.

This came after talks held by a Qatari ministerial delegation in Addis Ababa with Ethiopian Prime Minister Abi Ahmed, on bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to strengthen them. During the visit, the Qatari delegation also met with the President of Ethiopia, Sahli Warq.

A Qatari ministerial delegation, headed by Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani, held talks in Mogadishu with Somali Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khairy.

The two sides discussed the strategic relations between the two countries, especially in the field of port investments. This is the first visit of a Qatari foreign minister to Somalia in nearly two decades.
