It was at midnight that the explosion occurred. Earlier on Monday evening, an area with a radius of 300 meters had been evacuated and no one was injured in the detonation. For those who remained in the area outside the evacuation zone, the bang was noticeable.

- I woke up to it small properly. It was like a hand grenade I can imagine. After all, I understood that it was the police who acted in some way, because the barriers were there, says Claes Nilsson.

"Like a real thunderbolt"

On SVT Öst's Facebook page, several people shared their experiences of the detonation. Fredrik Green was one of them.

“The bang was heard over Old Linköping and its surroundings. It sounded like a real thunderbolt, but without both lightning and rain. Then I realized it was a detonation, ”he writes.

“There was a great deal of noise across the river to New Tanneforsvägen. You could easily think it was a second farm, ”Anneli Björkman writes.
