Ukrtransgaz, Moldovagaz, and the GTS operators of other countries agreed on the necessary technical solutions for creating new import capacities ... as early as January 1, 2020, a permanent capacity will be created for imports from Romania with a volume of 1.5 billion cubic meters of gas per year, regardless of the volume of transit Russian gas through the territory of Ukraine, ”said the statement of the Ukrainian gas transmission system operator on Facebook.

Ukrtransgaz noted that by the end of 2019 it is planned to complete the modernization of the Ukrainian gas measuring station Grebeniki, as well as the Kaushany station in Moldova.

In addition, operators from other countries also pledged to carry out a number of preparatory technical work.

In June, Ukrtransgaz sent a proposal by Moldova to import gas to the EU through its gas transportation system due to a delay in the construction of a gas pipeline from Romania.
