“The United States, apparently, has reached the stage of arms development when it is necessary to conduct practical firing, testing, that is, it is necessary to leave the laboratory for a training ground. That’s why they initiated the question of withdrawing from this agreement on the INF Treaty, allegedly because the Russian Federation is to blame, ”Sherin emphasized.

According to the deputy, it takes years to carry out such development.

“It's not less than five years, at least. That is, all this time, the Americans were engaged in such developments, and when the day, time, moment came when it was necessary to proceed to the tests, they absolutely cynically, unscrupulously accuse Russia of allegedly causing us to withdraw from this agreement, and right there, the Americans are already starting to test the missile, which they had long been ready for, ”the parliamentarian concluded.

Earlier it became known that the United States tested a cruise missile prohibited by the INF Treaty.

As the Pentagon noted, the test missile "left the land mobile launcher and hit the target precisely after more than 500 km of flight."

On August 2, the INF Treaty was officially discontinued at the initiative of the United States.
