The broadcast of the beginning of the meeting was conducted by the TV channel 112 Ukraine.

According to Interfax-Ukraine, before the meeting, the Israeli Prime Minister laid flowers at the Eternal Glory Memorial on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

“Benjamin Netanyahu began his official visit to Ukraine with a ceremony of reverence: flowers were laid at the Eternal Glory Memorial at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Kiev,” the Israeli Embassy said.

The agency clarifies that this is Netanyahu’s first visit to Ukraine in 20 years. The parties are expected to sign a number of documents.

Earlier, Netanyahu announced his intention to discuss with Zelensky the creation of a free trade zone and a pension agreement.
