Manchester United have not confirmed: after their departure with fanfare, the "Red Devils" were held in check by Wolverhampton (1-1), including Paul Pogba missed a penalty on Monday at the end of the second day of Premiere League.

Winners 4-0 against Chelsea on the first day, the Mancunians had made a strong impression. In Molineux, in front of ambitious "Wolves", the men of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer returned to earth.

If they dominated the first period, showing beautiful things, they much more pained in the second act. The Mancunians were especially lacking in precision, like the penalty missed by Pogba or the pass too supported by Aaron Wan-Bissaka for Jesse Lingard, missed by a few inches.

Still, this draw, at a Wolverhampton who wants to shake the "Big Six" established, remains a correct result for a Manchester United in full reconstruction.

The meeting will have in any case enabled Anthony Martial to score his fiftieth goal since his debut at the "Red Devils" in September 2015.

Marcus Rashford launched the French, again lined up. Party between two defenders, the former Monegasque struck in force in the skylight at the first post to open the mark (27th).

But by pushing, Wolves equalized thanks to a superb realization of Ruben Neves. The Portuguese sent a curling shot from outside the box just below David De Gea (55).

If the debates were then balanced, the "Red Devils" may regret their move: Pogba has caused a penalty, managed to get the right to shoot him after a moment of discussion with his co-peers ... but the champion of the world failed to convert it.

He chose to shoot in force, but Rui Patricio left on the right side (68th). Rashford had his own against Chelsea.
