On strike until August 31

Firefighters have been on strike since June 26 and until August 31. They demand that the 24-hour penalty payments be paid in full and not just 17 hours as they are today. The firefighters say they are tired that their file stagnates at the level of the SDIS, the departmental service of fire and relief and the County Council.

Michel Veunac, Mayor (MODEM) of Biarritz, went to meet the firefighters. He promised them a meeting next week, but after the G7 that will end on August 26th.
