Berlin (dpa) - The Federal Government wants to better protect airports from drones. The Ministry of Transport commissioned Deutsche Flugsicherung to draw up an action plan to control and repel drones, reports the Süddeutsche Zeitung newspaper. This should ensure "systematic drone detection" at airports. The plan is scheduled for the end of September. In 2018, 158 air traffic obstructions were reported by drones - 80 percent more than in the previous year. In the first half of 2019, the number was 70.
