A basketball jersey that belonged to former US President Barack Obama sold Monday at auction for $ 120,000, said the house that was organizing the sale in Texas.
The shirt numbered 23 belonged to Barack Obama when he was 18 and was in Terminale Punahou high school in Hawaii, where he lived then, said the auction house Heritage Auctions.
Its price had been estimated before the sale at about $ 100,000.
Former President Obama is a basketball fan, a sport he's often seen practicing when he was at the White House, with presidential staff, celebrities, or other visitors.
