French triathletes Cassandre Beaugrand, Pierre Le Corre, Leonie Périault and Dorian Coninx won Sunday the mixed test event of Tokyo, on the route of the Olympics 2020, where they will try to win the Olympic title next year.

Without their leader Vincent Luis, who is preparing for the final of the World Series WTS where he will target a first world title on August 31 in Lausanne, the Blues have preceded Britain and the United States in Tokyo.

After the relay Beaugrand, handing his hot shot three days ago on the individual event, Le Corre and Périault, Coninx has started with the British Alex Yee and the American Ben Kanute.

At the elbow after the 300m swim and 7.5km of cycling, Coninx and Yee escaped at the start of the 2-kilometer run, with the win coming back to the Frenchman at the photo-finish.

The Blues kept their world title at the beginning of July, with a different relay composition, since Léo Bergère, Vincent Luis and Emilie Morier accompanied Beaugrand.

Doubles world and European champions, they will be among the favorites to go for gold in August 2020, in this event that will make its appearance on the Olympic program. They will have as main rivals the British, the Americans or the Australians, 5th Sunday without having aligned their best elements.
