Hong Kong protests are reaching out to the global pop culture community through social media. There is a split between the support of China and Hong Kong demonstrators, such as the boycott movement of a movie starring a Chinese Hollywood actor.

Boycott Mulan is a hashtag campaign that doesn't see the next Disney movie, Mulan.

Chinese actor Hollywood star Ryu Pei wrote "Hong Kong is embarrassing," and the netizens have set off a film boycott.

A number of famous celebrities, including Hong Kong-based actor Jackie Chan, followed by Korean idol singers in Korea, have publicly supported their support in China.

Meanwhile, citizens from all over the world are holding meetings in support of the Hong Kong protests.

In Taiwan, a post-it-it movement was put on the wall in support of Hong Kong, and rally continued in large European cities like London, Paris and Berlin.

Some 2,000 attended the Melbourne meeting in Australia,

[Hong Kong supporters: we don't have to fear any threats. We are all united.]

Near these gatherings, small clashes were held in support of one China, resulting in some conflicts.
