18 August 2019The British brexit minister, Steve Barclay, has signed the law that cancels the 1972 act that sanctioned the adoption of European laws by the United Kingdom.

According to a communiqué from the British government, it is underlined that it is "a historic step for the return of legislative powers from Brussels to the United Kingdom". The cancellation of the European Communities Act will enter into force on October 31, the date on which Great Britain will leave the European Union, with or without agreement.
