The Chairman of the Dubai Election Committee, Ahmed Bin Humaidan, called on those wishing to run to accelerate the registration process, and not to postpone it to the last day, in anticipation of any emergency, whether incomplete papers or other, pointing out that some of those who wished to run in the last session did not They register because they have reviewed the electoral commission for registration on the last day, with their papers not being completed.

He pointed out that the staff of the Committee began their work from the early hours of the morning of the first day of candidacy, before the start of official working hours from 8 am and registration continues until 3 pm.

He said that the process of registering the candidates goes through several steps, starting with making sure that the name of the applicant is nominated within the electoral commission, through the identity card, then review the required documents from each candidate, and then the step of payment of the required fees in e-dirham (1000 dirhams), followed by registration of the required data Then, print out the form to complete some of the data by hand and sign it, indicating that the process of nomination does not take more than seven minutes for each candidate, if the applicant to fill the required papers.

He predicted that the turnout of women would be high in this session, starting from the determination of 50% of the seats allocated for election in the Emirate of Dubai for women, and 50% for men, within the framework of the decision issued by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, to increase the representation of women in Federal National Council by 50%.

He stressed that the candidates should commit themselves not to launch any propaganda campaigns during the current period, before the start of the period of publicity prescribed by the National Elections Commission (8 September - 4 October).
