He started Thai boxing ten years ago at Halmstad Muay Thai, but for the past three years he has lived in Thailand to put everything into boxing. Magnus Andersson, 25 years from Oskarström, tells how he got to put family, friends and love aside to be able to reach the level he is at today.

The World Cup title he will now compete tells him he is bigger than a "regular" World Cup title.

- The World Boxing World Cup is still amateur while this is specifically a professional match, says Magnus Andersson.

First Swedish to compete for the title

It's about taking home the title of "World Champion" for the organization Lion Fight Promotions, which is one of the world's largest. He is the first Swede to ever compete for the title.

When SVT News Halland meets him, he is at home in Halmstad before returning to Thailand to train hard for the competition, which will take place on 31 August in Gothenburg.
