As Chaputovich noted, Russia will “think twice” before resorting to military means in the event of the presence of American troops.
“The Polish Foreign Minister expresses the opinion that the head of the Polish state also expresses today. They have an unambiguous opinion: they are even ready to allocate several billion euros from the budget in order to equip a strong, powerful base for American soldiers as a method of containing Russian “aggression,” said Vodolatsky.
The deputy emphasized that Russia never attacked anyone, but always “defended itself against enemies” who wanted to destroy the Russian state. Including, as Vodolatsky added, helping those West Slavic peoples, to which Poland belongs.
“We are not preparing for an attack, we are always preparing for a reflection from the outside. This statement is in order to once again show loyalty to America. There is nothing new, yet another intimidation of the European Union by some imaginary Russian “threats”, the parliamentarian concluded.
Earlier, Polish Foreign Minister Jacek Chaputovic said that US troops on Polish territory are needed to “deter” Russia.
