For most people, the summer vacation is over and the change from the hammock with sun, bath and barbecue to work, stress and early mornings is more difficult than many want to admit.

But bold there's no reason to feel overly depressed - because with a little clever planning, you can soon have a new hefty vacancy to look forward to.

2019 is a year where it is possible to maximize the vacancy in connection with the red days around Christmas and New Year.

Long-term - with few vacation days

Depending on the collective agreement you have at your workplace, you can get 17 days off with just 2 to 5 vacation days.

if that were not enough, you can take 6 to 9 days of vacation and get a full 23 days off.

The difference in the number of holiday days depends on whether or not your work gives you vacations on the squeeze days.

This year is Christmas Eve on a Tuesday and Monday therefore becomes a squeeze day for many. The same is true for Friday, December 27, the day after Monday, Christmas and the day before New Year's Eve, Monday, December 30.

So check out what applies at your workplace - and apply for your vacation right now.
