Foreign Affairs Councilor and Iranian Foreign Minister agree in ongoing consultations August 18th 4:17

While tensions over the situation in Iran in the Middle East are growing, Foreign Affairs Minister Mori, who visits Iran, meets with Foreign Minister Zaleaf and Japan and Iran continue to ease tensions in the Middle East and stabilize the situation. They agreed that it was important to discuss the situation in a meaningful manner.

Mr. Mori, Mr. Mori, met with Foreign Minister Zaleaf at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran in the capital Tehran for about 30 minutes from 7pm on the 17th of Japan time.

In this, Mr. Mori and Foreign Minister Zareef confirmed that both sides evaluated the active visits to Iran, including Prime Minister Abe's visit to Iran in June.

Based on the traditional friendship between Japan and Iran, we agreed that it would be important to continue discussions to ease tensions and stabilize the situation in the Middle East.

Prior to this, Mr. Mori, the Foreign Secretary of Foreign Affairs, had a meeting with Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs Araguchi in Iran for approximately three hours.

In a series of talks, it is thought that opinions were exchanged based on the fact that the United States is aiming to form a voluntary alliance to ensure the safety of the Holmes Strait in the Middle East.
