Seven Russian weightlifters, including former Olympic bronze medalists Nadezhda Evstiukhina and Dmitry Lapikov, were suspended on Friday for suspicion of doping on the basis of data from Moscow's anti-doping laboratory, the International Weightlifting Federation announced (IWF ).
Dismissed from her Olympic bronze medal won in Beijing-2008 following a positive test in 2016, 31-year-old Nadezhda Evstiukhina has since been crowned three-time world champion (2011, 2013, 2014) and two-time European champion ( 2011, 2013) in less than 75 kg.
In addition to his bronze medal in Beijing, Dmitry Lapikov had also lost his silver medal at the 2009 Worlds and his European title of 2011.
The other five concerned all medalists
Among the others concerned are the European champion in less than 94 kg in 2017 Adam Maligov, 26, the vice-champion of Europe in more than 105 kg (2015) Chingiz Mogushkov, 32 years.
The double silver medalists at the European Championships Maksim Sheiko, 31 (-105 kg in 2012 and 2013) and Yuliya Konovalova, 29 (+ 75 kg in 2012 and 2014), and Magomed Abuev, 26 , complete the list.
