Hong Kong (AP) - A rally for freedom and democracy has begun a new protest weekend in Hong Kong. According to a dpa reporter, several thousand people took part in the demonstration. It stayed peaceful. During the weekend, further protests are planned in the former British colony, which is now part of the Special Administrative Region of China. It is feared that there will be riots again. Hong Kong has been part of China since the withdrawal of the British in 1997.
