The German company NextMove has canceled a Tesla order due to quality issues.

German car rental company Next Move said on Friday it had canceled the bulk of an order involving 100 vehicles from Tesla worth 5 million euros ($ 5.54 million) due to quality problems recently seen in the Tesla 3 model.

The German company said it had ordered the vehicles in 2018, but found some quality problems after taking delivery of the first 15 cars this spring.

The company said it canceled the request for the remaining 85 cars, after failing to reach an agreement with Tesla on how to fix quality problems, including paint defects, defective wires, scratches on the dashboard and scratches in the headlights.

For its part, Tesla said it was in the process of fixing the problems, and provided alternative cars to the customer at the time the order was canceled.

"We believe the customer's decision not to receive the remaining Form 3 applications was not due to quality problems, but was largely influenced by their frustration over an irrelevant dispute earlier in the year," Tesla said in a statement.

Tesla said that any customer who is not satisfied with his car can return it for a full refund within seven days after purchase.

She said customer satisfaction data showed that German customers were highly satisfied with their vehicles, including the quality and condition of their vehicles on delivery.
