Fiji, the world's 10th ranked World Rugby, has named 13 Top-14 players for the 2019 World Cup in Japan, scheduled from September 20 to November 15.
In addition to seven local players, Le Rochellais Levani Botia, Racingmen Ben Volavola and Leone Nakarawa, Clermont Peceli Yato or the Brive and Fijian XV captain Dominiko Waqaniburotu have been called by the coach John McKee.
Waqaniburotu, who will appear as four of his teammates at his third World Cup, will try to lead his men to the quarterfinals of the world tournament, the best result of the 'Flying Fijians' (1987, 2007) in the World Cup.
Fiji has inherited Group D, alongside Australia, Georgia, Wales and Uruguay.
