“US President Donald Trump today spoke by telephone with Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan about developments in the region,” TASS quoted a White House deputy spokeswoman, Hogan Gidley.
It is noted that the American president emphasized the importance of resolving tensions between India and Pakistan through dialogue, including on the situation in Jammu and Kashmir.
Earlier, the Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the UN, Malih Lodhi, stated that the country was ready for a peaceful settlement of the dispute with India.
