Earlier this week, SVT Nyheter Öst reported on how parents in both Linköping and Norrköping will, from this autumn, release as many paper forms from the school in connection with the start of school. Much of this, such as family information, would instead be sent out digitally by the municipality as a first step in the goal of being paper-free by 2020.

But yesterday, after the first day of school, there were still many parents in Linköping Municipality who had to pick up paper forms from their children's backpacks.

- We have had a technical flair because there were so many people that this would come out at one and the same time, it is about tens of thousands of emails. We have learned a lot from this and talked to our supplier that this must go faster and smoother in the future, says the education director at Linköping, Tor Andersson.

- This was a first test, and it's really good that we did this already. It is a bit of a childhood illness, but overall it has worked beyond expectation. Hopefully, everything will work out well next year, he says.
