According to the agency’s report, the Russians began to eat more fish and fish products (in 1980 - 17 kg, in 2018 - 22 kg).

The study emphasizes that the volume of meat consumption has changed up and down for 40 years.

So, in 1980, an average person accounted for 70 kg per year, in 2000 this figure dropped to 50 kg, in 2018 increased to 89 kg.

There is also a decrease in the consumption of dairy products and eggs, sugar and confectionery.

Earlier it was reported that cookies, gingerbread cookies and waffles are the best-selling confectionery in Russia in July 2019. As noted, the average price of cookies in July 2019 amounted to 150 rubles per kilogram and remained at the level of 2018, product sales increased by 4% compared to 2018. The second place in popularity among sweets went to chocolate products - the average price for chocolates was 595 rubles per kilogram.
