But the BMW track transmitter stopped giving signals on the E4 at Norsholm. Police suspect that the car was loaded onto a vehicle with a disturbance transmitter and from there proceeded on. Despite checking a number of trucks, the car had disappeared without a trace.

"Yes, we currently have no traces, but we are continuing to work," says Joakim Wallberg, police inspector at the crime coordination in Östergötland.

The police in Östergötland now want to urge those who have exclusive cars to be vigilant and "raise their safety mind".

- Often it is the case that there will be more such thefts when they have started. These leagues work over large areas, says Joakim Wallberg.

At the car theft in Ekängen, it is suspected that the thieves got into the car by copying the car key signal that was inside the home. The police suggest that you can put the car key in a box of metal - preferably lead - that is placed far from the front door.
Other good safety precautions are to park the car in a locked garage or in a place with strong lighting.
