A man has died this Friday after being stabbed during a fight in the Nou Barris district of Barcelona, on another night with violent incidents that swell the "security crisis" that the City Council admits going through the city. In addition to the deceased in the brawl, there have been at least two other serious events, including stabbing a person during a violent robbery on Via Laietana, in the city center. The victim is seriously admitted, although he is not afraid of his life.
The deceased is a 47-year-old man and died after receiving several stabs during a fight with another person, around 3 in the morning on Vilapicina street. After being transferred to the emergency department by the Servei d'Emergències Mèdiques (SEM), his death was certified before arriving at the hospital. At the moment there has been no arrest for the murder, although the Mossos d'Esquadra have indications of the person responsible.
Barcelona accumulates nine homicides in just a month and a half and reaches 12 so far this year, more than all accumulated throughout 2018.
Stab a tourist
Before midnight the other serious incident occurred, in the center of the city. As confirmed by the Mossos d'Esquadra, a person was injured by a stab at the intersection of Via Laietana with Sant Pere Més Baix. According to sources familiar with the case, several people would have assaulted the victim, a tourist, in the back to steal his watch. There have been no arrests yet.
Two other people, roommates, who got into a fight and ended up both wounded by a knife were also arrested last night in the Horta district. One of them is seriously admitted.
