It is indicated that unidentified persons threw a smoke bomb on the floor of the building where the election commission is located in order to “smoke opponents and gain access to the ballots”.
At the same time, political strategist Pyotr Okhotin said that one of the candidates for deputies of the Verkhovna Rada "personally oversees an attempt to seize" the regional election commission, as he cannot "put up with the loss."
According to the agency, there is a crowd of people near the building, some of them donned balaclavas.
Earlier, special forces were transferred to the Ukrainian city of Pokrovsk because of a protest rally. The police also secured the building of the local election commission.
