He also believes that the idea of Denmark selling 50,000 of its US residents is completely ridiculous.
Former Danish Prime Minister Lars Löcke Rasmussen on Twitter indicated that Trump’s desire to buy Greenland “must be an April Fool’s joke.”
“We are talking about living people, and you cannot just sell Greenland like in colonial times,” said former Danish Foreign Minister Martin Lidegaard.
Earlier, The Wall Street Journal, citing sources, wrote that Trump expressed the idea of buying Greenland.
