This was announced by the Foreign Ministry of China.
"I express my strongest protest to the US ambassador to the UN on disarmament over his baseless accusations regarding the defense strategy of the PRC ... China adheres to a defensive policy in favor of the peaceful use of outer space," the press service quoted the ambassador as saying.
The Chinese ambassador recalled that Beijing is actively promoting measures to prevent an arms race in outer space and does not use weapons to "search for strategies ... the hegemony of outer space."
“China will never consider outer space as its own territory, as the United States does, and the space activities of all other countries as a threat to itself,” the statement emphasizes.
In July, the General Staff of Russia announced that the United States refused to negotiate with Moscow and Beijing on the non-deployment of weapons in space.
In late February, US leader Donald Trump signed a memorandum on the creation of the US Space Forces.
