An African woman has been jailed for three months after being amputated part of the lower lip of a colleague after she had been involved in a verbal altercation that developed into physical abuse.

The public prosecutor charged the 29-year-old with committing a felony assault on the integrity of the body of others leading to permanent disability by 3%.

The 38-year-old cleaner, who holds the nationality of the accused, said that she was surprised by the outrage of the accused, who violently attacked her, bitten her lower lip, and amputated part of her.

The victim was subjected to a medical examination and a report issued by the forensic department at the General Directorate of Criminal Evidence in Dubai Police revealed that the bite suffered by the victim left a change in the shape of the lower lip and was born with a permanent feeling of pain, which is a permanent disability estimated at 3%

The criminal court in Dubai convicted the accused and sentenced her to be expelled from the state after serving a three-month sentence.
