The management of the airline Transavia France "plans to ensure 95% of its flights program" Friday, while the CGT union called the hostesses and stewards to strike Friday to Sunday evening, she said Thursday .

"Last minute disturbances are not excluded" Friday, warns the management in a statement.

The low cost subsidiary of the Air France-KLM group will publish on its website information on its flights and send SMS to "passengers affected by cancellations". Traffic forecasts for Saturday will be communicated the day before.

Protestant against "catastrophic human and material management" in the company, the CGT, the first union at Transavia France, "calls the hostesses and stewards to strike until Sunday evening", within the framework of a strike notice which short "until January 5, 2020," told AFP Elodie Gomes, elected CGT.

"It has been months since calls are made to the management to find a social dialogue. There is nothing sudden in this call to strike," she added, explaining that the long notice filed would allow "to launch further calls for the strike" and that it could "evolve to include also ground staff".

For its part, the management of Transavia "surprised" in its release of this call to strike "suddenly, without prior exchange", and "deplores" a social movement during the "summer holidays".

Saying that they are "committed to a constructive social dialogue within the staff representative bodies", the management accuses the CGT of having "refused to participate in the meetings for more than three months", even though they "were dealing with topics related to to the cabin crew (commercial cabin crew, that is to say hostesses and stewards, ed) and personal ground.

Mrs. Gomes, elected to the social and economic committee (CSE) of the company, she said that elected CGT were "always present at meetings of the CSE".
