Qatari Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani said that Qatar is following with great concern the recent developments in Yemen, especially the situation in Aden.

"Qatar stresses the importance of ensuring the unity of Yemen and safeguarding its gains, and the need to prevent the disruption of its social fabric," he said in a tweet on Twitter. He called on all parties to stop the war and spare the Yemeni people more human suffering.

In a tweet, the Qatari foreign minister said that what is happening in Yemen is a real humanitarian disaster;

The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (NTC) forces took control of brigades and camps of the internationally recognized government in Aden, after battles between the two sides ended in control of the presidential palace.
